DESY, EuXFEL and UPJS partners present HE project MHz Tomoscopy at the SFEL 2022

SFEL 2022

Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice under the auspices of Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic, Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic, and European X-Ray Free-Electron Laser Facility GmbH (EXFEL) in Hamburg organized School of XFEL and Synchrotron Radiation Users 2022 that took place in Liptovský Ján (Slovakia) from November 6th, 2022, to November 10th, 2022.

The SFEL2022 agenda focused on a more thorough acquaintance with the selected experimental techniques that make use of the XFEL, synchrotron and neutron radiation. Particular attention was devoted to imaging methods for biological and material applications.

The well established international school intended for both experienced scientists and young researchers/students  interested in X-ray and neutron scattering techniques was attended by top level practitioners of the disciplines, as well as emerging generation of young scientists. The MHz Tomoscopy project was presented twice during prime-time of the event.

On Monday (7th November) Patrik Vagovič from DESY gave a speech on the topic of Development of 2D and 3D MHz X-ray Microscopy at European XFEL and shortly after, Jozef Uličný presented the topic „Faster than computer – data processing challenges of MHz tomoscopy”.

More than 100 participants from 10+ countries attended SFEL2022. There were 40+ contributions and more than 15 posters.
