FATRA (FAst Train Review Application) is a new software application developed and presented by Peter Szeles at the University of Pavol Jozef Šafárik in Košice, Slovakia. FATRA addresses the need for efficient real-time capture and analysis of streaming data, specifically focusing on high-speed scientific camera applications.
FATRA leverages the capabilities of the StreamViewReplay program, a custom-built solution that seamlessly integrates with the European XFEL’s Karabo Framework. This integration allows for real-time capture of streaming data streams, metaphorically referred to as “trains,” generated by the high-speed scientific cameras. The graphical user interface (GUI) of FATRA is implemented using the user-friendly PyQT library, ensuring an intuitive and efficient user experience.
